Units
Unit 1: Technology Fundamentals
Objectives: Basic use of Google Apps, safe browsing, digital writing.
- Understand what a computer is and its main components
- Explore the steps of the problem-solving process
Unit 2: Programming with Scratch
Objectives: Create animations, interactive games and solve problems with logic.
- Create and format documents with Google Docs
- Design simple presentations using Google Slides
- Input and organize data in Google Sheets
Unit 3: Spreadsheets
Objectives: Use basic formulas, conditional functions and analyze data.
- Draw shapes and images programmatically
- Create sprite-based animations and simple games
- Apply computer science concepts and the design process
Unit 4: Web Development
Topics: Create and publish a website using HTML and CSS. (8th grade)
- Structure content using HTML
- Style webpages using CSS
- Develop a multipage website for a specific audience
Unit 5: Programming with Scratch
Topics: Creative coding with blocks, animations, stories, and simple games. (6th grade)
- Learn basic coding logic with blocks
- Build interactive stories and animations
- Create simple games using Scratch tools
Typing Practice
Topics: Improve keyboard speed and accuracy through regular practice. (All grades)
- Increase typing speed through repetition
- Improve typing accuracy with guided exercises
